Care and Support For Traumatic Brain Injuries

We strive to help our patients become as independent and mobile as possible with comprehensive and compassionate care treatments.

Overview

Responding to a growing need in the community, UHealth Jackson Rehabilitation Care developed a specialized Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) program in 1984. Our medical team has achieved a high level of professional expertise in this challenging field.

Patients and their families are closely involved in the evaluation and treatment planning to determine the direction of their specialized program. Personal goals, concerns, and treatment preferences are included in the planning process.

Throughout the rehabilitation program, advanced technology tools are used to address any problems with speech, reading comprehension, and other language disorders. For some patients, group therapy may be utilized to overcome cognitive deficits and develop compensatory strategies.

Our multidisciplinary team works closely with each patient every step of the way to ensure recovery is as smooth and swift as possible.
