From the North
Exit I-95 at SR 826 East. At the light (N.W. 2nd Avenue), turn left. Jackson North Medical Center is on the right.

From the Northeast
Take Miami Gardens Drive west to N.E. 6th Avenue. Turn left. Drive south to N.E. 167th Street. Turn right onto N.W. 1st Avenue. Turn right into Jackson North Medical Center.

From the East
Take N.E. 163rd Street (SR 826) west to N.E. 1st Avenue. Turn right into Jackson North Medical Center.

From the South

What are my parking options at Jackson North?

Free Parking
For the convenience of our patients and visitors, parking at Jackson North is free.

Baby Stroller Parking Permit
Stroller parking permits are available to parents of children younger than 3 years old, allowing for convenient parking at designated spaces across Miami-Dade County. To purchase a permit, parents or legal guardians (with supporting documents) will need to submit a photo ID, and either a child’s original birth certificate, footprints, or hospital wristband. The permit costs $35.

What are the visiting hours at Jackson North?

We encourage our patients’ family and friends to visit Jackson North Medical Center to support their loved ones. We allow two visitors to see a patient at a time and all visitors must be 13 years of age or older.

Visitors are encouraged to come during the hours of 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Due to the critical nature of certain units, e.g., intensive care units, recovery rooms, and emergency departments, their visiting hours may be more restrictive.

What is the visitation policy for pediatric care?

Family presence and involvement are key components of our care philosophy. We value the need for family members to be together during a child’s stay in the hospital, while at the same time ensuring the safety of our pediatric patients. We encourage parents/guardians to spend as much time as they can with their hospitalized child, and to actively participate in their care.

What are your cafeteria hours?

Main Cafeteria:
Breakfast: 7 to 10 a.m., Monday to Sunday

Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Sunday

Dinner: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Monday to Sunday

Do you offer disabled visitor parking?

Based upon Ordinance 13-104, amending Section 30-338.2 of the Miami-Dade County Code; parking fees may be imposed on vehicles displaying a disabled parking permit or license tag at Jackson Memorial Hospital facilities. However any such vehicle exiting the facilities in two (2) hours or less will not be charged parking fees.

* In accordance with Florida State Statute 316.1964, no parking fees will be imposed on any vehicle with specialized equipment, such as ramps, lifts, or foot or hand controls, for use by a person with a disability, or any vehicle displaying the Florida Toll Exemption permit.

If you drive a mechanically altered vehicle or have a Florida Toll Exemption permit and qualify for free parking, please follow these guidelines:

  • In the exit lane, communicate with the Customer Service Agent (CSA) via intercom to request a waiver of parking fees;
  • The CSA will examine your vehicle to determine if the driver/vehicle meets the criteria for waiver;
  • Once it has been verified that the waiver of fees is allowed, the CSA will record your name, address and specific vehicle information.

What specialized programs are offered at Jackson North?

Amputee Support Group
All amputees and their loved ones are invited and encouraged to attend Jackson North’s amputee support group, facilitated by a certified psychologist or psychiatrist.

The group meets from 4 to 5 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month. For questions or additional information, call 305-654-3132.

Stroke Support Group
If you have suffered a stroke or have a loved one who has, Jackson North Medical Center has a stroke support group. It is held from 3 to 4 p.m. the second Thursday of every month in the second-floor Auditorium.

The group is facilitated by a certified psychologist or psychiatrist. All stroke survivors and their loved ones are invited and encouraged to attend. For questions or additional information, call 305-654-3132.

Weight-Loss Surgery Seminar
At Jackson North Medical Center, we understand weight-loss surgery is a major decision. That’s why we offer free weight-loss surgery seminars at 6:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month.
