The neurology and neurosurgery department at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine has expanded to Jackson North. As part of Jackson Health System’s $1.8 billion capital plan to reinvest in all of its facilities and build new ones, we’re hard at work at Jackson South updating our hospital and bringing in the latest medical technology. We’ve opened a new, state-of-the-art intensive care unit capable of supporting the latest technology for our most critically ill and injured patients. To serve our community’s mental health needs, we have renovated our behavioral health unit. Jackson South is also home to a beautiful new labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum unit – one of the few of its kind in South Florida – to serve all the needs of expectant mothers as they bring their new babies into the world. The future of Jackson South has never been brighter.
While we are excited about all of the work being done to enhance our facilities, our greatest pride point is the exceptional care delivered by our team of caregivers who share the qualities we value most: compassion, accountability, respect, and expertise. From one corner of our hospital to the other, we work hard to make sure we leave positive, lasting impressions on our visitors and patients by cultivating a caring and comforting environment. How do I get to Jackson South?
Jackson South Medical Center is located at 9333 S.W. 152nd Street:
From US 1: Take US 1 to S.W. 152nd Street. Turn onto S.W. 152nd Street heading west. The hospital will be on the right side past the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Station and the Miami-Dade Public Library.
From Florida’s Turnpike: Take the turnpike to S.W. 152nd Street and drive east. The hospital will be right before the US 1 intersection on the left side.
What are my parking options at Jackson South?
Free Parking
For the convenience of our patients and visitors, parking at Jackson South is free.
Baby Stroller Permit
Stroller parking permits are available to parents of children younger than 3 years old, allowing for convenient parking at designated spaces across Miami-Dade County. To purchase a permit, parents or legal guardians (with supporting documents) will need to submit a photo ID, and either a child’s original birth certificate, footprints, or hospital wristband. The permit costs $35.
