UHealth Jackson Rehabilitation Care at Jackson North has provided comprehensive rehabilitative care for more than 40 years. In addition to helping patients and their families through the recovery process, our goal is to ensure patients achieve their greatest potential.

Patients receive therapy seven days a week, contributing to our reduced length of stay and ensuring they return home faster.

Our services are delivered by specialists who have pledged to adhere to the mission, philosophy, and operating policies of our program, including:

The acute inpatient rehabilitation unit at Jackson North Medical Center is a comprehensive and accredited unit with 12 private beds. We provide 24-hour care for patients with functional impairments across various diagnoses, ensuring they can return to a community setting once they’re discharged. Medical consultations are readily available for diverse medical conditions. Physical, occupational, and speech therapies are offered seven days a week to patients 18 and older (patients who are 16 and 17 years old are considered for treatment based on maturity).

Our interdisciplinary team includes specialists in physical medicine and rehabilitation, rehabilitation nursing, and physical, occupational, speech, and recreational therapies, as well as social work/case management. They collaborate with other services to address individual patient needs, integrating functional, medical, cultural, spiritual, and psychological aspects into each care plan.

The Outpatient Rehab Services Department at Jackson North Medical Center provides physical, occupational, and speech therapy services for patients across all age groups.

Physical therapy focuses on examining and treating patients with acute or chronic physical dysfunction and pain, using exercises and other therapies to promote functional independence.

Occupational therapy uses goal-directed, purposeful activities to assess and treat patients experiencing impaired function.

Speech-language pathology evaluates and treats patients with acute or chronic physical and/or cognitive dysfunction affecting speech, language, and swallowing abilities.

Our skilled team also offers specialized services, including pelvic floor, lymphedema, and vestibular therapies, as well as Lee Silverman Voice Treatment for Parkinson’s disease and neuromovement disorders.
